Area 1851 by Cowboy-Lucas Area 1851 by Cowboy-Lucas
This is what's been keeping me busy lately.
I've been doing the artwork for Area 1851, a hysterical historical-accurate board-game designed by Justin Blaske, published by Game Salute.
It's the first time I do all of the artwork in a game, it's been a lot of work, but really satisfying (it'll be one of those boxes bulging with cool stuff). Dann May has done a wonderful job with the layout design.

I'd really love to show more, but the cover's as far as I can go for now.
Soon the kickstarter campaign will go live, and along with it, some more previews...

Awesome illustration! Everything is so crisp and lively~!

Love all the little in-jokes too, like the poor sap who's about to shoot his dang self with a classic phaser. :D

Not really versus, it's more of a trading game.
You buy stuff, you combine native, alien and settler technologies, and you get an atomic-powered-sacred-mining-pick.
Just like that!
